About

I grew up in a middle-class neighborhood in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. I attended Marquette University High School and went to college at the University of St. Thomas in St. Paul, Minnesota.

After graduating, I moved to Juneau, Alaska, where I worked for a nonprofit organization and met my future wife, Eve. After a brief time in Chicago with the American Planning Association, I got a Master of City and Regional Planning degree, focusing on land use and transportation planning, from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.

I worked for five years for a local government in North Carolina and another three-plus years for a Metropolitan Planning Organization in California. Eve and I married in 2017. We moved to the Boston area in 2018, where I worked in private consulting for two years before returning to local government. We currently live in Southern Maine with our 2-year-old son and chihuahua-pug mix.
